Man charged with vehicular assault and drunk driving after Lebanon crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man is facing charges after a crash that closed a road in Lebanon for several hours Saturday evening.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 43-year-old Scott Auld of Texas was charged with vehicular assault and driving under the influence after a crash on Highway 109 South in Lebanon.

According to Lebanon police, the accident occurred around 7 p.m. and closed all lanes of Highway 109 at Business Park Dr. Traffic heading north and south had to be rerouted.

THP’s preliminary report states that a Chevy Suburban driven by Auld was traveling south on Highway 109 when it left the right side of the roadway and rolled several times.

43-year-old Monica Auld, also from Texas, was a passenger in the vehicle and was injured in the accident. Scott was also injured in the accident.

The Lebanon Police Department confirmed that “several individuals” were transported to hospitals in Nashville.

Highway 109 reopened at 1 a.m
